RebelGTP's '96 3.5L ES w/PHP

I know it's not much to look at right now, but this is what it looked like when I got it... I rescued it off of a small used car lot at a time when I desperately needed a vehicle. Due to my girlfriend having a 1995 ES 3.3L, I knew a bit about these cars and how nice they are. Back in Aug 2007, I offered $1K for it when they had $1295 in stickers on windshield. Total price came to $1234 (taxes, title, plate transfer). At the time of sale, I had it registered to a business that I worked for as it was originally intended as a company car, but I bought it from the company because I liked it so much.

Pics:

Mileage at the time these pics were taken: 159,301 miles

Exterior. I'd like to get a trunklid with spoiler and replace the hood, left fender, and both bumper covers. Whenever this damage happened, it was enough to warrant replacement of the headlight and parking light housings.

Performance Handling Package!

Interior shots (needs detailing inside too)

I added this, bought at a yard. I was originally trying to make the garage door opener visor work with a set of dual visors that I bought at the yard too.

Very nice Trep!!! I am a big fan of the color combo as well, and you do really need to get a spoiler on there. It's in really nice shape

How many miles?

It could be in better shape... not much structural rust as far as I can see, and where there is, it's not rot... I'm a big fan of the spoilers on 1st gens, and I had been bugging my GF to put one on her '95 (black/silver)... She doesn't want one....

Another thing to note is: It has a sunroof... Ever since I had my '95 Grand Prix GTP, I have had a car with a sunroof... it's mandatory for me now!!!

Nice car. Cute story too. Glad you're enjoying it.

How were you trying to make the garage door opener work with the dual visors? I'm kinda lost...

I picked up a set of visors that have those buttons, but I took apart the visors and removed the buttons... I want to put the buttons in a different spot on the dash I think.

The main mounting point has a single visor bracket. I was trying to figure out how to pull the bracket off of a dual visor and install it on the garage door visor to have the best of both worlds... though I may pull the garage door visor off in favor of the dual visor again... the buttons don't work with my openers because they are too old.

unknown... It was that way when I rescued it off of that small used car lot...

I also want to add that the/a previous owner was a smoker and it needs some interior detailing...

Oh... and due to the price stickers on the windshield, when I washed it first day that I had it (Mobil gas station) the wash created a nice top to bottom crack on the right side...
