94 Intrepid gone, Now here is my 2006 Mazda 3 Sport GT!

Well, on to the profile for the new car!
Got rid of the details for the old one.
New car= 2006 Mazda 3 Sport GT (hatch)
I purchased the car new off the lot with all but 4 kilometers on the speedometer.

The car is a 2006. The colour is Titanium Grey Metallic.
It has a 5 speed manual transmission that shifts like butter.

Currently, the mods include TWM aluminum shift bushings to make those crisp shifts last forever.
13% tint all around.
Lowered on Eibach pro-kit springs yielding about a 1.5" drop.
4300K H11 (factory low beam bulb type) H.I.D system.
Stubby antenna off an Acura RDX. (purchased, not borrowed!)
Throttle body ground.
Front bumper was destroyed because a raccoon decided to try it's luck, so when I got the new one, I relocated the front license plate so that they did not mount it in the high factory position that also needs to be drilled into the bumper.
EDITED IN after! : I also removed the side mouldings off the doors! Love it!
LOTS to come. Soon some rims, and some Koni Yellow struts all around.

Here are some pics!

Completely stock.

I then had it tinted on all 7 windows (not including the windshield) with Solar Gard HP film.

Then came the winter tire package on black steelies.
Dunlop Winter Sport M3 tires. V rated.

I hate when it looks like this!

Still in the laneway where an expert local member BRIANMP5T(his laneway) installed my springs for me for free.

Fresh drop after taking around some on-off ramps and a 40 minute drive from his house on the same afternoon.

Incident with a raccoon. Also take note of the ugly stock plate location which needs to be drilled into the bumper plastic.

New bumper installed.. I'd rather keep it looking like this.. where it's nice and smooth, and no front plate to ruin it.

So I went to Home Depot and picked up $5 worth of stainless hardware .. bolts, nuts, lock washers, 4 small L brackets, and mounted it up after painting the L brackets black.
I only installed it because it's a legal requirement and I like staying low on the radar that way.

I love the car. I'd never go back. The car is easier to park, fits in places easier.. has tons of room, the back is amazingly modular where I can fit far, far more into it when moving stuff around, and it handles like a go-kart!

Comments? Questions? Thanks for visiting!

bust that rule and the cops pull you over and run their keys over your tint forcing you to get it replaced
does this seem a bit unusual to anyone else?? they dont ask you to peel it off yourself ?

ha

Well I've never encountered it myself, this being my first ride now. But I have dark as possible tint up front, legally, to avoid that.

What my car will look like...

Here is what I eventually want to see my intrepid looking like, let me know what you think.
And yes, I dropped and cropped that in paint shop pro myself.
The image of the intrepid is from some rim selector website, Its really been too long for me to remember where I got that pic from.

Those Rims really enhance the appearance of that Intrepid! Do you recall what brand/model they are? I'd be interested in tracking them down! On another note, I was pricing the ES Alloy Rims (1st Generation)... MOPAR Parts gets an Arm and/or a leg for them per Rim! :mg: (must be based on Auto Insurance companies buying them). I'd even be interested in buying somebody's ES Rims if they upgraded to commercial Rims (like in the graphic image).

Looking forward to your response.....

Oh, I forgot to mention the car itself heh..

The car is a Chrysler LH model, but fully loaded, its only missing automatic temp control, which I wouldn't really want, the overhead console, but besides that it has everything else including the 3.5 litre engine that runs like a charm.

Man, can cops do that? I mean, even if they're illegal, they can't destroy your property can they? That's like if you have a crack in your windshield, they bash it i with their club. That's just wrong, IMO.
Bastards.

I've never had it done to myself, but I've heard of it the odd time.
Like, I guess they just want to stress that it gets removed or replaced with lighter tint.
At least they're giving you small lines to look through? heh which would suck.
I usually just hear of warnings and such.
But if some guy just never gets it done and they know it
Try parking in front of a fire hydrant and start a fire that needs the use of a firetruck

I guess if they've seen you around after getting warned they might have some reason to do it. But whenthey first see it, they should only have the power to warn you, or maybe write a fix-it ticket out.
