My '94 Intrepid

Heres some pics of the car. I paid $880 and just basically planned on this car being a fixer up. It'll be a nice lil project for the summer.

This car has 130k miles on it.
The muffler may need to be replaced or patched. Not really sure, I'm not to savy when it comes to mechanical work.
On sharp turns I get a pop noise from the front wheele. I was told it could be an upper control arm.
No air. Could be just that the belt is missing. Not sure if there is any other problems with the air other than that.
The interior is in ok condition. The seats just look worn with some cig burns but no tears.
Seatbealts do not retract.
Damn I really did buy a POS....lol
The other problems are in the pics below.

So tell what you guy/gals think.

Nothing a bit of hard work, extra time, and money and it'll look good. Trust me, you'll become obsessed with fixing it.

Yeah, I know I will. I've always loved intrepids cause they can be fixed up to look really nice. My lil bro just got my dads 99 intrepid for his first car. I remeber my first car was a '89 cutlass supreme international and I had to pay $850 for the master cylinder, yes $850!!! I was fixing it up to look nice and 2 months later I flipped it into a telephone poll.

BTW if anybody knows any lookin for master cylinder for a '89 to I think a '91 supreme INTERNATIONAL I still have it and no damage was done to it. The reason it cost so much was because it has the ABS built on top of it. I'll post it in the sell section later on today.

Without a doubt in no time at all you’ll be searching yards for parts you can swap into it, and trolling the BST section. Since it needs a new paintjob anyway, I’d say you should grab an ES front bumper (in other words one with the fog lights) and the side cladding and have them sprayed with the rest of the car. With that and a little suspension work you should have a nice looking reliable car. Best advice I could give is to make sure you jut do one project at a time, otherwise you’ll get overwhelmed and nothing will get done.

I've been seening the term LH alot on this site I'm just goin to ask the newbie question, what does LH stand for? lol

I dont really car much for those rims though. I like somethin like what you have on yours Dr5D.

Another thing, I noticed a metal switch under the dash by the pedals and I can not figure out what it goes to. I was lookin at the pic tutorial of how to take apart the dash from the user 94concorde and his pic showed the same switch. Do any of you all know what this switch is for?

For the first generation (1993-1997) the Chrysler New Yorker, LHS, and Concord; Eagle Vision; Dodge Intrepid; and Plymouth Prowler* were all on the same “LH” platform. For the second generation (1998-2004) you had the Chrysler Concord and 300M, Dodge Intrepid, and e the Plymouth Prowler* which are also on the “LH” platform. I’m not sure what that LH stands for, but it’s a reference to those cars.
*The Prowler is of course on a different chassis, but it has the same power-train, it just had the tranny placed over the rear wheels rather then the front ones.
If you’re going with different wheels you’ve got more options then just the first generation Intrepids. Any second generation wheels, including the 18in 300M Special wheels will fit the 1g. Also 300C and Charger wheels will fit as far as I knew.

I have another question. Lookin at the pic of the trunk in my first post with the trunk being crooked, whats the chances of the frame being twisted? I plan on having it looked at but I wanted to ask someone in here that might know how it all fits together. Cause if it is I will prolly just do a lil body work to it and gettin it to run smoother then sell it. But I will be back to treppin for sure. XD

Actually, the 16" wheels off of Jeep Libertys, Compass, and Patriot will also fit, as I found out with some research. Anything Chrysler will fit onto a 1st gen.
