2000 cam crank sensor 2.7 issue again
First post someone mentioned new crank sensor so I bought two of those and it did not work. I may try OEM next but I don't think that is the issue.
I have tried a combination of 3 cam sensors and 3 crank sensors and cannot get my car to run right. The cam sensors all work on my 2001 and only one of the 3 will start with any crank sensor on the 2000. I no OEM is better but I have never had any issues with the aftermarket and especially standard motor products expensive line. The cheap non name brand cam sensor is the only one that will start the car with both sensors connected. It runs rough, surges, etc., now with both sensors connected. Car will start with cam sensor disconnected with all 3 crank sensors.
I did notice a while back car was taking longer to start. I thought maybe fuel pressure but don't know. Could I have skipped a tooth on timing chain or would car not run if that happened? I hate to tear apart if I don't have to. When car starts with cam sensor disconnected it runs smooth. I guess I can run a compression check.
Any other sensor that would make for no start. I have another 2000 so maybe a swap of computers is in order? Any ideas for the second time?
