Oil light comes on when braking to stop

I have a 2002 Intrepid with 3.5L engine. Recently I noticed the oil light flickering on occassion when the car was stopped, like at an intersection. I checked the dipstick and the oil level is fine, but now that the weather is warming up (or maybe it's just the passage of time), it seems to be happening more. Here's what I have noticed: the oil light remains off if the car is idling in park or driving or coasting in gear. The oil light will sometimes flicker or fully light up if all three of these are true: the car is in gear, the brakes are depressed, AND the car is nearly or fully stopped. It goes off immediately if I release the brake or shift into park. This only seems to happen when the engine is fully warmed up. The car has synthetic oil designed for high mileage cars in it, and the dipstick indicates adequate oil. What could be causing this? Thanks for any suggestions.

As an aside, the car has also had some starting issues that I think are unrelated and predate the oil light issue, but if you think there could be a connection see my other thread about unpredictable starting issues.
