Few Small Mods

Since it was such a beautiful day today, I made a yard run today, to browse their inventory and see what this place has to offer. Pretty decent size yard really, although I was disappointed to see they had only 3 Panthers, and all of the Prizms were pretty much gutted. Slim pickings there.

On the other hand they had a pretty sweet collection of classic cars in the back corner. `Cudas, Chargers, Mustangs, Camaros, Sedan Devilles, Impalas, a Celica GT Liftback among other things.

Over at the LH section they have two Steel Blue Intrepids, a 300M, an LHS a Concorde, and some other Intrepids and a few first gens.

So the LHS had the Infinity Sail speaker grills, so I grabbed those and one of he sail speakers.

I grabbed a floor mat hook I plan to use in a mod soon, as well as some retaining clips for the front bumper.

I also found one 2nd gen Grand Cherokee with light taupe sun visor hooks. I'm really happy I found these because I cannot stand the stupid reverse hooks LH cars have. Whoever came up with that obviously never used a sun visor before.

Installed the sails and the hooks this evening, quite pleased with them. The speaker seem to put out better sound than the old ones (no tweeter).

Weird thing is that the sail on the passenger side doesn't seem to fit right, like the plastic mount it screws to is a different size. There's a gap between it and the door panel, but on the driver's side its fine. I guess I'll have to get the mount from the LHS?

The only thing dependable about the future is uncertainty.

The problem is that the M/LHS door panels are made differently on that side, you need to get a set from an Intrepid for it to work right. You run into the same issue when you install an M dash and trep panels, or vice-versa, the dash/ door panel will be higher than it's counterpart. The mount will not change anything. Concorde one's are a bit closer than the M ones though.

Nice mods though, reminds me that I want to pick up a set of GC visor clips!

Are the grills themselves the same size? I was wondering if I could swap grills, since they're just held on by metal tabs.

One from an Intrepid or a Concorde to make it a bit less noticeable.

I see, did they ever come with Infinity branded sails?

I guess what I could do is just have the speaker on the driver's side say Infinity and put the old one back. It's not like its a huge difference with or without one of the sails being badged....better than an unsightly gap.

I think some said infinity on them, I'm not 100%. I know there were some that were just mesh with no labeling though.
