as far as mods go. you wont find many aftermarket performance parts made for our cars. most mods include parts from the 300m special (pcm's, sway bars, interior swaps. etc.) or cop car treps (clusters mostly)

anything is possible, lots of guys swap entire 300m dash's into their treps. me personally i think they are hideous but thats just me.

if you want more fuel economy give the vehicle a good tune up (which a tune up isnt really a "tune-up" any more actually) that would mostly involve spark plugs and an air filter for the most part.

do you know if the timing belt/water pump has been done? their due every 100,000 miles or 7 years, whichever come first

Garage
-3:89 gears with matching 2.7 TCM from an SE will give you a little more seat of the pants acceleration (I highly recommend this, moves the power band down, Super fun!)

-Intake spacer is another nice bolt on mod available from a member on this forum.

-300m Special rear sway bar will improve handling, front sway bar is available too but that's a heck of a job.

-Lots of interior mods available, LHS/300m interior parts will bolt right up. Check out some people's sig pages for ideas!!

You can also install things like 300M seats, Concorde gauge clusters, chrome shifter if you can find it, chrome door handles and switches, lighted key ring mod.

To make it sound better you could put in a dual exhaust with something like Flowmaster 80s. That's on my to-do list.

There's also throttle body spacers I've seen, but I don't know if anyone here has used them and what they think of them. You could clean out your throttle body, which will improve response if its dirty.

Smile

For my '04 Intrepid, I modded it with Daytime Running Lights (DRL) before I drove it home. No mod is simpler!

Hideous........
horrible to see: extremely unpleasant to see

lol

But thats just you.
Me I did the whole interior.
You can also put in special 300M sway bars front and rear, that improves performance handling, esp on cornering.

Serious? My 2003 has been in my heated garage all it's life and with only 66K Km or 41K miles, I don't think I need to jump the gun there. Not yet. YMMV

yep im serious. my 02 es had its water pump/ timing belt done 55,000 miles. obviously not even near close mileage wise. but it was 2 years over due by age. rubber breaks down after a while. for me it was worth the peace of mind

but you have an SE right? that would have a 2.7 in it unless you swapped in a 3.5/3.2. 2.7's have timing chains not belts

I sell the spacer for our intakes, dyno shows a gain average of 25 torque. Some members said there was a gain in 1-2 MPG. This is not yet proven.

Since its a 2.7 you could keep an eye on the waterpump. That is the main failure point of those engines, and if it goes you get a whole lot of issues all the way up to engine failure.
