Exclamation Go Rhino Push Bumper

A buddy of mine is taking his Go Rhino push bumper off his 2004 Intrepid Police Package...I have a 1998 Intrepid Base Model with the 2.7...does anyone know if the push bumper will or will not fit? I cant seem to figure this one out.

As long as you get the mounting brackets, it *should* bolt right up. I'm unaware of frame/body changes from the 98's to the 02+ models.

Thats what I was thinking...just wondering if anyone has any first hand experience??? I would hate for my buddy to ship the push bumper to me (he lives cross country) cause as you may know this push bumper is not lightweight...then me have to sell it so I can re-pay him if it doesn't fit!

Only differences between cars would be the bumper absorber and that's only due to the fog lights. If you're really concerned...have him take some pictures of how it's mounted close-up and from different angles and crawl under your car and compare it.

Judging from the '04 Intrepids I've seen, you'll need to do cutouts in the bumper. It's possible that the agency I saw used cheap mounting brackets which required the cutouts...

My agency uses Intrep's for AUX and Community Police services...I did some measuring today...seems like it SHOULD fit and not have to cut the bumper...our Intrep's don't currently have push bumpers (taken off a while ago when they were de-commissioned from the regular patrol fleet) but the BUMPER measuments seem to be not much diffrent...I guess we will wait and SEE!

Cool

Just to hijack a little bit. Is anyone else interested in push bumpers? I might buy a lot of them.

Haha I can second that...I am a vol firefighter/emt and kinda want to complete the look (already have lights siren ect) after spending the money on winter tires and chains this year (gonna have a bad Wisconsin winter apparently!)

But what I would really love to have? An actuall Intrep Police Package.

I picked up my 98 2.7 for 400.00 from a friend...what? 400.00? Yea and it was running too! Lol...nice to have friends I suppose.

For the Intrep Police, It is hard to find one locally in most cases...but typically speaking Used Intrep Police Packages are cheaper then the same year used Crown Vic, and Sometimes cheaper then the same year used Imp's. I am lucky to have a Police Car Supply/Dealer/Equipment Installer in my town and can get used ones kinda cheap (But he doesn't often have Intreps)

Ok...now we can get back on topic
