I recently purchased a 2002 2.7 Intrepid SE. Needs a lot of cosmetic work. :|
Under the hood (sooo shiny!)
- Fix wiring to dome lights (frayed on end and unattached)
- Remove white accent lines
- Remove front dodge decal
- Fix dent on front bumper
- Renew headlights
- LED halo headlights
- Touch up scratchs (there are quite a few, a long with some hail damage)
- Tint rear windows
- Fix the faded grey black areas
- New tires and wheels
- Front mount cupholders (seriously whoever designed the pop out holders needs to learn how physics work...)
- New deck and subwoofers
I will try and keep an updated work log with before and after pictures. This is a long term project (6 months)... due to finances and work schedule.
The water pump seems to have been replaced recently. I am trying to get any service records together that I can. The engine seems well maintained and is whisper quiet still (only 80k miles... no signs of damage or leakage.)
Step One (IN PROGRESS)
Tediously removing the pinstriping... It is cracked, faded and very dry... taking a lot of manual peeling...
Removing the badge, it was actually already removed, but the adhesive was still in tact, I have it off now just gotta use some goo gone and elbow grease to get it shining.
I am going to attempt to remove the hail damage with a heatgun/co2 method, anyone have experience with this?
OH NO, My passanger side headlight is broken... The fender is also bent, seems like a lot of hassle to fix :(... couple more things to add to my list...
