Question Replacing lights in dashboard...

Hello,

I've been putting this off long enough... I'm replacing to the lights in my dashboard (behind the instrument cluster) and am hoping someone has a step by step on here of how to do so... I checked in my chilton and the first step was to remove the steering wheel which is something I'd like to avoid if at all possible...

Thanks,
Matt G.

yeah, dont remove the steering wheel. Just remove the top of steering wheel shroud (the thing that has the hazard button sticking out) remove the two screws above the cluster bezel, remove the lower knee bolster by taking off the driver fuse box cover and removing the screws so you can access the one screw on the bottom right of the cluster bezel, remove bezel, unplug headlight switch, remove two screws at bottom of cluster, get a hanger and bend it like an L shape, maybe even two, slide one part of the L behind the cluster and pull toward you.

I think that covered it. that chilton should fill in any gaps i may have left.

are you replacing the ones in the actual cluster?

if ya are, on the back take off the cardboard held by t-15 screws.

pull out the gray bulb holders. you can take them out, just wiggle the bulbs out. a shirt or towel helps.

Ok... the main one i need to replace is right behind the speedometer (partially to the right)... The other is the "Cruise" on the right side of the dash...

Thanks for the tip.

Alright, lights behind the cluster are replaced and working... I had 5 burned out bulbs...

I replaced two of the fuel injectors but it's still starting rough... Need to find a good deal on four more..

Thanks again for the help
