Choices

What should I buy first for my Intrepid? I'm thinking about rims, k&n intake, a system or dual exhaust. I'm leaning towards the new exhaust but I'm having trouble deciding, feel free to convince me otherwise.

I agree,, sure we all want the fun stuff,, boom boom in the trunk,, bling on the wheels,, but,, if it dont run,, why?, a few bucks tossed at things like timing belts,, and tranny fluid changes go a heck of a lot further than a fancy air filter ever will

after maintance,, go with a k&n Intake ;)

Before I bought the car a few months ago I took it to my mechanic who is also my uncle...Needless to say he gave it a thorough check, and it's running as smooth as ever. The car's only got 56,000 miles on it and has had oil changed every 3,000 miles according to the records. And plus what's better than something that's loud and shiny when you're only 18?

....something thats going to last you till 20, lol. Preventative maintenance is the key. Fix a possible hot spot before it gets worse and possibly affects other parts....such as the WP, but your mileage isnt really high enough for that yet....Plugs would be a good thing to change, PCV valve, Cooling system flush, tranny flush and filter change, diff fluid change. Thats where I would start.

BTW, I was 17 whenever I got my SE 3 years ago. I only started really modding it this past year. Before that it was maintaining it.

if it was me i would say system (i cant stand factory sound anymore) and then wheels. maybe intake after that. mine i think ill keep quiet as far as exhaust goes, i mean, idk if grandma cars are right for the part... idk. its just up to you.
i think my next thing will be the alternator upgrade and maybe 2 batteries... then ill be running 2 amps, and 4 12s. 2 pyle square plsq12d ithink, and 2 rockford rfp3412s. it will be loud.

I knew to watch out for the WP because it went on my friend's Intrepid a year or two back :( and I changed the plugs already too. Gonna look into the rest this weekend when I don't have work, thanks for the advice!

Also three years? I don't know how you waited that long haha

Wait so you wouldn't put dual exhaust on an Intrepid but you would but that kind of system in it.... I'm also not even going to mention the whole grandma car statement....
