Right now, I'm getting 20mpg aprox with the cold weather. Summer I'm usually around 24 for the same commute. All highway nets me 26 or so.

well i have to go fill up today i will post the mpg's but before with the old motor i would fill up at a 1/4 tank with about 255 - 275 miles on 3/4 of a tank now i am at a 1/4 of a tank and only 170 miles on the 3/4.....
and that is around the city i have not taken the car on the Highway at all yet,

since this is a new motor to my car being i dumped the old 2.7 for the 3.5ho should i take it on the highway so that the computer sees the highway driving so it can configure the computer a little more?

thanks

31.5 mph headed north to the meet.
28.0 headed south from the meet.
Both in my '98 with the 3.2. The gas mileage for the trip back includes some random driving around Zebulon

if its below freezing, 20mpg is about normal. above freezing you should be able to get 23-27mpg at a 50/50 city to highway. you may go as low as 16 if its all city and cold and as high as the mid 30's if its warm and all highway. if the PCM never got the chance to learn highway speed fuel demand, you may want to plan a nice long trip, with a little country or city driving in between.

My 300M went from a summer high of 24 mpg city/hwy to 22.3 mpg city/hwy for the winter. Dam Minn winter gas always less mpg.

Change the plugs and oil lately? May need new O2 sensors. When I bought the car I was getting 19-20, after all the engine mods I have done my AVG was around 16-17, when it got to 12MPG I got worried, I changed the oil, plugs and all four O2 sensors, I am now back at my normal 16....
