Hp gain

How many ponies do you think you would gain if you removed the ps pump ac compressor pump and the alternator?

simply put, bad idea.
if you want to ease some stress on the motor, you could get a smaller under-drive pulley. people have mixed opinions on these. but im not sure if they even make them for the 2.7, do some research, you might find one

I have known people to cut the belt going to the alternator when racing at the track.
I also have known someone that removed the A/C compressor to save weight, and gain HP...
...*cough SPAD3 cough* that reinstalled the compressor due to the comfort factor.

If your intentions are to have a specific, track only car...then go for it.
If your intentions are to have a street racer, look for gains elsewhere, and take it to the track.

BTW, be patient with your "bumps"
Bumping a thread an hour and fourteen minutes after posting might imply a manner of impatience that some might not take to kindly to.

if your looking for some power gains on the 2.7....there's not alot but things that you can do to improve are milled and ported heads.....run a dual exhaust system with 2.5 piping...cold air intake....

the last and final would be a turbo charger......but that is at your own risk......OR buld your own stroker motor out of a 3.5....that's about it.

Garage
AC compressor - zero....all you have to do to gain HP from that is turn the switch to "off"....unless you want it removed for weight.

P/S pump....really doesnt use HP when you are not turning the wheels...you'd gain whatever the drag of it is, maybe 2-3 hp...now turning the wheels, 10-15+ hp.

Alternator, depends maybe 5 HP...but you would loose performance just running off of the battery, the coils wouldnt have the proper voltage, amongst other things.
