i ordered 16 inch rims and got 17 inch rims

i ordered 16x7 rims and they sent me 17x7.5 rims i was thinking about keeping them but i really didnt want to buy all new tires thats why i got 16s its for my intrepid what would you guys do also does the extra wideness do any like they will still fit right

I would be happy if I were you, who would buy new 16" rims(unless there for winter)? The extra width is no biggie as long as the bolt patter, hub size and offset is correct.

well i got 16s cause i wanted to be a cheap bastard and use the same tires as now but wouldnt 17s look better ?

offest is +45mm is that ok for the 02 intrepid se
hub 72.6mm and bolt pattern i know thats right 5x114.3

would you even know a difference from 16-to 17 its only 1 inch

I noticed a big difference, 1 inch more rim is an inch less rubber and air. Firmer ride! Id keep them, sell your 16s and buy tires

You're going to have to edumacate me on how you get 1 inch less rubber. I'd count 1/2 inch of difference since the 1/2 inch of difference on the top of the tire isn't going to make any difference.

All depends on the profile. You can get the same or nearly the same circumference with different profile tires.

Huh, I'm a bus driver now?!?

Yes, my wheels go round and round, but the top and the bottom of the tire never touch the ground at the same time! (At least not while on the car... yet!)

Even Joie Chitwood only used the bottom sidewall. Never both the top and bottom of a tire at the same time.
