the motor mounts are different between the 2 engines......if your dropping in a 3.5 motor do yourself the favor of using a 3.5 flex plate for the year car your doing.
The actual motor mounts themselves (rubber isolators with the threaded studs sticking out) are the same. It is the mount-to-engine brackets that bolt from the mount to the engine block that are different between 2.7 to 3.2/5. These are removable from the engine mounts, so you can use the original rubber mounts that came with the car. So make sure your 3.5 has the engine mount brackets with it at least.
Flexplates between engines are identical 98-01, and 02-04. You can bolt your 2.7 flex plate right on your 3.5 and be done. You just cant mix and match years....IE 1999 3.5 flywheel on 03 3.5.
