Projector Headlight Question

So I have my projectors in and I went ahead and moved the HIDs from my foglights to my low beam projectors. Later that night when I turned my headlights on, I couldn't see anything! They were pointed out to the sides, so I adjusted them like 20 times, having to take them in and out each time, with no luck. Then I realized the projectors were H1 bulbs not H3 like the fogs. So my question is, if I was to buy the H1 bulbs, would they work? Is there that big of a difference in the two? Thanks!

The H1's have a dimple that sits in a certain spot and it aligns the bulb properly..
are you sure that you didnt knock the projector loose ...those things arent in there very well..I just got done taking apart 2 sets of projector headlights (both Sonar name brand) one from Charger and one from Intrepid ...it's held at 4 points IIRC 2 are adjustment points and the other is a fixed point to hold the projector..... the fixed points pop out ridiculously easy..sounds like you could have popped one of the 2 fixed points out..try grabbing the projector carefully with a set of pliers (wrap the teeth with a bunch of electrical tape or some of them rubber teeth protector things) and pull ..you'll be able to feel if it moves ..

my temporary sig page..till I get time to make one! HERE

No, they are still in there and they work fine when I put the H1 bulbs back in. Im having problems with the HID lights I have, I think Im going to buy the H1 HIB bulbs to try since they are a little longer, maybe the HID H3's were too short for the projector.
