Question adding a trunk light

first i apoligize if this has already been mentioned. i've looked and didn't run across it. i have an 03 intrepid se. I noticed the other night that i don't have a trunk light. How hard is it to add a light?

Hey boss, I believe all cars came with a trunk light. You might have a burnt out bulb or maybe even a worn or frayed wire back there.
You don't see it from the interior. Here are some shots I have of it
With the rear shelf carpet removed. Click pic to zoomy - check the reflection in the back glass


This is from the trunk. I had stripped everything out. You can't really see from the light washout, but there is a plastic lens there. There is a square cut out in the deck underlining to get at the bulb - but you have to get into the trunk if you don't have fold down rear seats

yeah a little while after i had posted this i went climbing around in there and found it. thanks for all the good pictures though.

The trunk open sense wire is usually the culprit for the light not coming on, I have this exact problem in my Intrepid.
