R/T Challenger exhaust on a trep??

Anyone here try putting an R/T Challenger exhaust on their trep?
I'm considering pulling the trigger on a new exhaust for my Chally and thought, "Why not use the factory mufflers (and pipes if possible) to put duals on my chally.
Thoughts?

Not going to happen. Completely different routing for the piping. I dont think 1 muffler is going to make a difference on a system that uses 2 resonators and a muffler. I got my dual setup done for 400 bucks. All custom and stainless.

Yea I pretty much expected the piping to not fit properly (at least not without some fab work)
But my thought was to come off of the cats, got into the suitcase muffler that's situated towards the front of the car then take dual pipes to the rear and use the 2 rear mufflers back there. I would think that the 09 5.7L Challenger exhaust was designed to increase airflow.
I just didn't want to waste 3 perfectly good mufflers/resonators if I put an aftermarket on the Chally.

I would "just" use the rear rez and tips.

And build forward.

I agree...should sound nice with just 1 muffler and the resonators w/ tips on the back end. An extra set of mufflers is just added weight and noise reduction.

Any idea what size pipes are on the Challenger?

When I switched over to the 3" Special exhaust I started with a pair of 2-1/4" pipes before hitting the first muffler (in lieu of a resonator) but IIRC the ES and stock R/T pipes are only 2-1/8". If you're going dual you should probably run 2-1/4" from the first muffler/rez on back, though I understand running dual pipes is problematic at best on the Treps (which is why I stuck with the 3" mandrel bend).

Are you going to add a cross-over, either X-pipe or combined muffler/rez up front?
