Rant *Warning*

I live in a college town and dread the return of a huge chunk of tuned-out individuals. You know the ones: Head down, headphones in, completely oblivious to their surroundings. Sucked into a digital world where the only thing that matters is who Tweeted last or the latest Facebook/text message.

These individuals arrive every fall with truckloads of stuff and no idea how to drive. One such asshole backed into my Trep....then took off. Result: cracked rear facia and they punched in the top of the license plate trashing my LED lights.

I know, accidents happen. When they do the least this person could have done is stop and leave some contact information. Hell no! They gotta look at each other with a "WTF was THAT" look and haul ass off. It happened so fast I didn't get a good look at the license plate. Just a old F-150.

I know not all college aged individuals are like this, but the ones that are just plain piss me off.

Gotta contact insurance and see what the deductible is for this...

Had this happen to my Trep too... TWICE...

One nice two red lines on my green intrepit from the head light to the rear tire... Then another on my driver side tail light/gas cap. $700 to get it fixed by my buddy... Have yet to do it.

Do the college kids call you a "townie"? that's because you care and are not part of their digital / superficial World.

Late!

sorry about the damage to your car....unfortunately it is not only college kids that dont care about damage inflicted to someone else car, it seems to be most of the population! Ive had the same thing happen to my rear bumper several times Ive now given up on fixing the spider cracked paint.

I live and work in the same town that VATREPN works in (which is also a college town). I own an old F150, but I *swear* it wasn't me.

Sorry for the aggravation. It is frustrating.

That was SCARE911, and he wanted to trade them for a Special Rear Sway Bar w/ bushings. It was in the "Special Rear Sway Bar Discontinued" thread

What he said. Hes been wanting to trade his off for something for awhile. Btw its quite a bit lower than ur stock bumper. So if you just put on the rear it might look weird.

O and I was one of those college kids 2 weeks ago
But I like to think I'm a decent driver

Thanks for the support guys. Looks like the deductible is going to be $200. We'll see what the insurance company says about the cost of repairs. I'm really on the fence about what to do.

Quick Poll:
A) Do nothing, it's not that bad.
B) Get the part replaced with a LKQ part.
C) Aftermarket. Combat Rear Bumper Cover.

BTW thanks Spence... just how low is the rear bumper? All I can find for a pic has watermarks covering the whole damn thing.
