Talking swap parts needed

Hello out there, intrepid fans: I'm doing a 2.7 to 3.2 swap, and I need a couple of items. I
hope one of you out there might have what I need or at least be able to point me in the right direction to get them. I need a trans dipstick tube and dipstick, and also the cruise control cable, from a 3.2-equipped intrepid from the 1998-01 range. Any takers out there?

What part of PA you in? I'd suggest Harry's if you are in the Scranton area.

With your year, you dont need to change out the trans tube and dipstick, you can use the original one.

The cruise cable is discontinued, that will have to come from a salvage yard.....and it can come from any 98-04 3.2 or 3.5L LH vehicle.

Thanks daytrepper!! It's good to know I don't have to wear myself out trying to find the dipstick tube. Why does the conversion manual say to change it, if it's not necessary, or is it necessary on particular model years?

It was necessary in 1998 only, the next release on the manual will mention that.

Oh ok: thanks for the info. I hope in the future to be able to buy intrepids with nice body/interior and bad motors, and hopefully be able to save some really nice cars from the scrapyard.

Thanks, mnite train: I don't know if you really heard what you said, but your words are more significant than you probably realize. I do indeed want to be able to help someone who might not be able to afford a car note (spelled DEBT) have a nice dependable vehicle to use until they CAN afford to do better. Besides, I've seen some really nice intrepids be scrapped, and I think it's a downright dirty shame.
