Has anyone else ever wanted to add TPMS to their 2000/01 R/T with your crusader wheels only to find out that the aluminum body sensors won't work. I have found a solution
Schrader now makes a line of programable wheel sensors called Ez-Sensor that is available with a rubber valve stem. I just got a set and installed them in my wheels and programed them with my Bartec TPMS tool. Trained them to my $18 AG Evic and now have a fully functional TPMS.
Sensor's $196 on Ebay. I had recently seen them somewhere else for $40 ea. but can't remember where. Bartec tool Expensive! I just happen to have one at my disposal. but you could take them to almost any automotive tire place and have them installed and programed. Unfortunately the traning magnet will not work with them like the O.E ones.

Reason: add more
I believe the issue with the OEM sensors in crusader wheels is the fixed angle of the neck vs the body of the sensor. The body of the OEM sensor when it was placed in the wheel wouldn't allow the neck to seat correctly in the rim.
Aftermarket Dorman sensors have an adjustment. You place the sensor body flat against the wheel and then tighten a screw to fix the angle. These would work just fine in Crusaders. The Dorman sensors are less than $40 ea. They program with a magnet just like the OEM ones...no need for a trip to the tire shop and the labor charge to program(unless you don't have a magnet)
