Spec D Tuning Halo projector LEDs

I really want to change out the Halo bulbs that just went out a few days ago. I isolated it down to the bulbs today by metering the voltages. Found there's 5 Vdc run to each halo light. Does anyone know what replacement LEDs/bulbs can be used? I would like to keep same color ( purple). Had the projector headlights for about 2 years and they are definitely worth the $240.

Just wondering.

I've been shopping for these for a while now, and I'd like to know if there is a bulb for the turn signal in these.

As far as I can see from the manufacturer pictures is a reflector on the side of the LED row.

Wink

They use a standard 3057 bulb for turn signals. There is a reflector on the outboard side of the headlamp assembly. I searched youtube and came up with several reviews on after market handlamps even mentioning the reflectors.

The reflector really serves no purpose other than maybe to meet DOT standard. It doesn't appear to be as functional as the OEM headlamp because the turn signal was repositioned to be near the center of the hood. Drivers can not see the side turn blinker unless their infront of you, nor will it the (reflector) reflect the turn signal.

In the end it's a matter of perference. I like the projector style with the added intensity. Tech D tuning's websites made mention that they're more suited for recreational use, but meet DOT requirements.

I'll call the company tomorrow to find out about Halo LED replacements.

Thanks for the info!

Another question, do they have adjustment screws for beam direction?

Thank again!

Yes, they have adjustment screws. It is very difficult and time consuming process.

Thumbs down

I Called Spec D the other day and spoke to an operator. If you purchased their lights they have your invoice on file; make sure your information is up to date. The Halo bulbs are only $5 each. I requested four LEDs to ensure the halo colors match. I received an invoice through paypal a few hours later. Hope this clarifies a couple options out there for replacement bulbs for Spec D Tuning Halo Projector Headlamps.

Fellow Ebay buyers call 909-839-2992 for Spec D Tuning (Ebay) Division. I was redirected to that number after calling the one listed on the main website (909-839-2533).
