Intrpid rt exhaust

Can I remove the sideways muffler and put in a pipe to replace it or should I get a performance muffler to replace the sideways one. I'm new to this just signed up

Alright. would a thrush welded muffler sound louder replacing the stock muffler even though it would still connect to the stock resonator with the tip ?

I had an exhaust put on my '02 SXT (3.5 HO), the rear resonator and the rear muffler were cut off and it ran 2.5 inches the whole way back (original front resonator still in) to a Magnaflow 14in muffler. I am very pleased with how the car sounds. Very deep and mildly loud. Hope this helps.

I've got My 3.5 set up just that way ( no muffler and two resonators), and if I were to meet a bumblebee that made that sound, I'd call it MISTER bumblebee!

I had a thrush welded in there before, sounded decent enough, tho I pulled the last resonator as well
