Front clip swap...

Never really seen or heard this done before, but I'm trying to think of something to really make my car a little more unique, without being a cop-magnet if you know what I mean, or look like some 16 year old owned and funded ricer project.

Theoretically, would'nt a 300's fender, front bumper and hood bolt right on to an Intrepid? If so, I'd just a handful of other things like the rad support etc. to complete the swap, than get it painted (can be done for free).

Seen this done on Magnums which had the 300's front, which gave me the idea.

Photoshop, here I come.. aha..

It has been done a couple times just as you say. Swap bumper, fenders, hood, and headlights.

Did not think it was done with the LH's, happen to know where I can find the pictures of the results?

What I've done in Photoshop really isn't persuading me to the pursue the idea... LOL

YB Normyl is the guy that did it first years ago.

Here is his car (old pictures, not sure what it is like today).

If you notice he also did the side skirts to make it flow more smoothly into the Intrepid half of the car.

You're too quick buddy! Thanks. I attached my Photoshop manipulation done quickly, no where as appealing as the actual thing... Hmm, looks good, found another guy that did it too, did the skirts and a custom rear bumper; I think I'd just do the front, skip the skirts. Wanna keep a sporty look but the 300's front end has SO much more potential and doesn't look "cheap" like the SE Intrepid front clip.

Was about to throw $300 into some Halo projectors for my Intrepid, but hell, I can get an entire 300M front clip with emasculate head lights for less than half of that, paint it for cost of a quart of paint ($30). I need a new hood anyways as the repairs done to it prior to paint aren't expected to last anyways, so killing a few birds and saving money...

I don't recall all 300M bumpers having the skirting like the Special? Finding Special parts is impossible around this place, so it would be a generic 300.

Apparently from what I have seen it's been done a few times with concordes, 300m, and intrepid mixing and blending them together.

TorontoFireCaptain is one I can think of that did a mod like this. I found a couple of photos (shown here), but you might be able to search to find out what he did. As I recall, this requires removing some material from the front clip, but that could be the case if you don't change the fenders. Good luck!

IIRC you also need to replace the upper rad support as well.

He actually bonded an Intrepid and M bumper together instead of replacing the whole front clip.

YUP! you have to replace the upper radiator support with one from a 300 otherwise you will go to bolt in the headlights and you will find that you don't have holes for the outer mounting bolts. Its not something that you can fix with a drill bit, there just isn't any metal there to drill through.

If I ever seen it going down the road I would just assume someone hit a deer and did a redneck repair job.
