Another Dual Exhaust post.. with pics :)

I've had my exhaust done for a while, but haven't ever got any pics of it on here. Sorry, but I wasn't able to get an underneath picture when we had it up on the lift :( (my parents didn't have their digital camera at the time). I made a short movie of it here
Right click and save The angle I used is kinda funky, but its all i had at the time - i just stuck the camera on top of some rocks we have on the side of our driveway.

Nice video bro! Sounds pretty good.... If you haven't already done it a K&N Intake kit will also help make it sound raw when you romp on it as seen in my video w/just the K&N, no aftermarket exhaust.

I really WISH Randy would post our videos on the server WITH links so people can easily view them!

This site needs cool Intrepid video's under Multimedia!

Did you notice any increase in performance....?

Take care guys....

MoparPerformance, in a different post I saw you were asking about Dynomax mufflers - thats what I have on there now. It is straight off a camaro. 2.5" in, and dual 2.5" out. Had the pipe expanded to 3 inches and ran it out the back. Got a hell of a deal on it too because my brother works @ Magic Muffler.

And surprisingly, i was out driving around tonight and some guy in a new Buick Rivera stopped to talk to me and asked about my exhaust - he thought I had a 3.5... I wish i had a 3.5, but i guess i'm just going to have to live w/ my 2.7. Hopefully I will get the K&N intake soon, but i dont know... thats a lot of cash for a filter and a piece of pipe....

now i know what a dynomax sounds like on a 2.7L, I also have a 2.7L and am soon going for duals-all I want is the look and sound but if I get a little performance I won't mind either-My guy says he'll give me a 50% off deal so he can 'experiment'-and word of mouth goes a long way around here-
DEAL=$5/foot of piping
and $32.50/Hour labor
he can get me a good deal on Maremont-Turbo CherryBomb/Vortex mufflers but if I can find out what another muffler will sound like I'll go with IT instead-choices are flowmaster 50 series
dynomax(what do you have?)
Borla(too expensive)
ANY OTHERS? Has anyone heard of these Maremont-Turbo CherryBomb/Vortex mufflers-I've been on their siteMaremont.combut no sounds like on flowmaster and dynomax sites so I'm wary
OH-and I'd rather go the the way of bbull's true dual setup-instead of a 1in2out thing like Thrasher did
Randy, that clip should be added to the multimedia section of the site(just a suggestion)-Thx JGarrett

love my DynoMax, which is that? Mines the SuperTurbo Series, for a Camaro as well (same like the flowmaster I had, but quieter!)

and i was told a true dual setup would more than likely cause a major loss of back pressure and it wasnt recommended....i believe others have echo'd this before as well.

JGarrett98, how did you tint the taillight? I have the same color Intrepid, and I'm liking how your's looks. You wouldn't mind if I copy of you a bit, do you? ;)

I've also been looking into true duals with dynolmax. I belive it can be done without a loss of backpressure. I'll let you know what the shops I go to tell me, though.

Cool, cool, ya got Dynomax huh, yeah that's what I've decided to go with. I got a guy that say's he'll do a single for $120.00 (Including the Dynomax)

He's supposedly been doing exhaust since he was like 3 years old or something. Seems like the best place I have found around here. www.emmanuelsmufflers.com

Is there any slight performance increase other than sounding better...? Could this give you a little better fuel economy from the stock assembly...? Sorry but I haven't done much exhaust....

Later guys

Gary -
I tinted the tail lights with some Nite Shades tint spray ($8 can) that i ordered from O'reilly Auto Part. If i remember correctly, it was on the page with the VHT paint. I'll warn you though, that stuff doesn't spray out just like spray paint would (its hard to explain) and i would almost recommend buying an extra can so you can get some practice using it. Also, when you spray it on it will turn white and cloudy and will look like shit, but i've found that 3 layers of gloss clear coat will take it off. Another thing - dont do it when theres like 90% humidity outside like i did... the clear didn't dry evenly and if you look at it in the right light it looks kinda funky

Did you take the taillight off and tint it from the inside or from the outside? And I just noticed you have the Dodge ram logo on your rear doors on the black part. Good idea...

I am going to try to tint the taillights next week when it gets better outside...

Thanks
