Full bra? Hood bra?

Question:

Next time I bring my car to the shop for the next oil change... I am picking up some of those plastic Dodge mudflaps. I also considering picking up a bra... and I am debating between the hood bra, and the full one. If I was to buy the full bra... can I take off the front piece which would turn it into just a hood bra in case I just want hood part in the future?

I was just looking at MaxinCanada's pics on the pics page... and his car looks good with tbe bra. Since im stuck in NY and I have to have the licence plate in the front... it takes away from the grill on the car. I think having the bra on there makes up for it.

Let me know. Thanks.

I have the full bra, but have never used the bottom part. I was told at the time they only had the full bra, not just the top part.

I honestly do not like the full bra, just the hood one looks cool. Ive seen someone around town with a full bra, but just having the bottom part on. looks kinda weird.

Go with the hood bra only. I bought the full bra and used it for about two months, taking it off and cleaning it about once every two weeks or so. But, after one trip to Kansas City (3 hours each way at 80 mph) I had scuff scratches on both fenders. They were not there when I started the trip (I had just cleaned the car) and they did NOT polish out. I was pissed! This was from a factory bra. I've run nothing but the hood piece since and have no other problems.

I heard about this product made by 3M that is basically a clear, non-removable bra that fits on top of your paint. They use it a lot on motorhomes. It's supposed to stop paint chips and such. It was about $300 for the front of an Intrepid. Call around and see if anybody does it.

You also mentioned getting the factory mudflaps. Take my word, don't. I bought a set of 4, put them on, stood back and walked around the car and said to myself, self, these look like shit on this car. They're way too big and hang down too far,(aahaa..he said hang down too far) interupting the smooth curves of our car.
Took them back.
