Stereo Timing Belt..

Well, I hope that goofy subject will draw a few people in here that can help me. I have two questions, and I tried to search, but the search kept puking out
1. How hard is it to chage the timing belt? On some cars it's better left to the "pros"

2. I want to install an Amp. Where is the Factory amp at?

Thanks, I really appreciate any response.

CAR: 1998 ES w/Infinity CD player, but not changer.

Erik

the factory amp is under the dash. open your glove box and look inside on the right through the hole and you should see it.

Mine was above the rt passenger kick panel, if you follow blkbrute's instructions you'll see it.

Thanks for the responses! I will look there. Now.... About that pesky timing belt... Has anyone in here done it themselves? I need to do it pretty soon.

Thanks, Erik

unless you are gettin up to the 100K mark, you probably don't need to change it. otherwise, it is a tricky job, but if you aren't afraid to tackle a car job, it is about a saturday's worth of work.

Timing belt is on the 60k interval for these according to factory. But then who listens to them. (probably the same people who whine about crap breaking!!)
