Advise on offset lower than the manufacturers standard
I have been doing alot of research and thread hoping hoping to get the right answer but to no avail. I'm in the market for new wheels and tires, but I have a vision of a staggered look, semi flushed.
For 2002 dodge intrpied se.
I know it sounds counter intuitive to have a stagger on a FWD, but I'm doing this purely for looks, not for performance. I do also want to maintain drivability and comfort. Of course you can't get everything.
My problem is how low can you really go with offset. To have a better lip to rim ratio.
My fitment currently on the car is:
245/45 r17x7.5 offset is +40 both front and back.
My projected offset look will be:
225/35 r19x8.5 offset +32 front
225/35 r19x8.5 offset +20 back.
I have checked calculators as well as as visual calculators and everything seem to FIT theoretically. I know there will be some added stresses to the hub, suspension, etc.
I would apprecite any help or feedback. Thanks
