Question Christmas tree dash after gauges changed

Hey guys, Jackfish again. Was just wondering if theres anyway to get rid of all the warning lights on my dash after a cluster swap. Aside from taking the dash apart and removing the bulbs. The lights that are on are; ABS, the red BRAKE light and my airbag light. With my stock cluster none of these where present. Thanks in advance guys. Heres a shot of the new gauges.

Remove you newly installed cluster.
Remove the face from your old cluster.
(Very gently "pop" it off)
Remove the face from your new cluster.
(Same gentle technique)
Install your new face on your old cluster.
Re-install your old cluster with the new face.

I don't see any other way to get rid of the unwanted warning lights.

alternatively you can go pay the dealer big bucks to turn them off.

The problem is either you got a set of gauges from an older 300M or your car doesn't have ABS brakes, or both. If it's a newer cluster and you don't have ABS then a DRB can turn the lights off. Also, you can't just swap the faces, the M cluster has EL illumination and your old cluster didn't. That = no backlit gauges.

Sounds like one of the vehicles had side air bags also. Hence the air bag light being on also.

Steph - It sounds like it's moot now since he might have it DRB'd, but what if he transferred the face from a later Concorde gage - white or black depending on his preference? Would that work (Concorde gages are not EL).

I think option I meant he was going to swap gauge faces and not pay the dealer. Like Steph said the original cluster back won't have the inverter or connector for the EL Illumination.

I don't know if you were responding to me or not, but my point was that the Concorde gages are *not* EL. I know the Concorde face is installed on an autostick Intrepid gage back in order to use the chrome ring black Concorde gages in an autostick vehicle.

See post #2. That will get you working gauges but no EL back lighting.

I have the Black later Concorde gauge face in my R/T. Yes that doesn't have EL back lighting.

The later White faced Concorde Limited gauges are EL like the 300m. Only difference between that gauge set is the 300m has Autostick and the Concorde Limited doesn't.

I have an 04 Trep sxt. I scooped the gauges out of an LHS at the pull your own parts yard. So what im reading is if i swap faces, i get no lighting. Because i have to abs or trac. Nor do i have side airbags. Currently just dealing with the lights. But if theres a way to make backlighting happen without a DRB thatd be mint. I dont have one, and the dealership here is 120$ an hour to pretend to fix your car

I should have remembered that. They're the same as the LHS gages (no A/S). I had those in my '99 Concorde before making it A/S - then I installed 300M gages. I put the chrome ring black gages in my '98 - transferred face onto A/S Intrepid gage when going A/S.

So Jackfish - your car is not A/S?

Correct Peva. Non autostick in my car. Also, both clusters looked exactly the same on the backside. I havent messed with anything yet, im waiting for a definite yes or no answer. If it comes down to getting it DBR'd ill just perform a bulb-ectomy on it lol

The LHS was a 2001 or earlier model.
The LHS had ABS.
The LHS may have had side airbags or , more likely, there is a difference in electrical connections (changes made between 2001 and 2002).

You will NOT get any warning lights when you swap the face.
