5 speed swap

Hello,

I have been thinking about this same idea. First off though, My swap to a 5 speed would be for a 2.7L V6. I'm wondering if the 2.7L in the Stratus R/T's is a longitudinal mount like the Intrepid or transverse mount like many other front drives? If it is infact a longitudinal like the intrepids, I would believe there is much hope for this conversion. Expense would be the cost of the 5 speed tranny and other 5 speed needed stuff like clutch/brake pedal, shifter, shifter cables ,etc.

Can we get this in the FAQ?

The 2.7L in the Stratus is transverse (can be used in the Intrepid from what I'm told), but the manual used in it will not bolt up to the Intrepid.

RWD Conversion is feasable in theory but plan on spending lots-o-time and $$.

Its the speed sensors on the trans. Search for P0700, it like $25 ea for the sensors themselves and its DIY
