Fog lights to switch

ok so i got those fog lights that u buy at walmart or somthing. im reding my dash and i dont wanna drill holes in this one like i did to my last dash. so is there anyway i would be able to wire these fog lights to my head lights or somthing so when i turn my head lights on my fogs come on as well? cuz i know all they need is a 12v power supply and but would it draw from my headlights? and make them not as bright

hey Nick...the headlights have a relay in the circuit so that all the power isn't drawn off the switch. You've got a few ways to go...yes you can wire your new fogs into your current headlight circuit. Another one is to buy a headlight switch that has foglight capabilities in it already(ES,R/T), that way you can use the fogs separate of the headlights. Either switch fits in your car and the connector is the same. You've obviously had the panel off for your cluster change. There's an older How to that describes adding the wire if it's not in your car to make it work. I also have a headlight switch with fog option for sale. I can get you the details of tapping into the headlight circuit if you want. Let me know.

Vegas Trep, take my advice and take those foglights back to Walmart and get you some PIAA's. I got PIAA Solitaires for my SE and they fit right in the lower grill slat. They are a much superior quality. They have a nice switch too that looks OEM. You can even use the supplied mounting tape so you don't have to drill any holes. (this stuff lasts years...trust me.) If you want I can send you a pic with them mounted on my Trep. I can't tell you how many times I bought those cheap foglights, only to have water get in them and the reflector rust out....then you have rusty water actually bleeding out of the foglight right down the front of your car. Looks like hell. You got a nice car...don't put cheap fogs on them...you will only be replacing them. Here is a link ...one of many on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PIAA-...00069277QQrdZ1

$25 shipped for the headlight switch with fog. I think I got that from Kcarlos when I was going to do my 2000 SE upgrade to fogs. I can post a picture of it if you want.
