How could you tell that it was a rear wheel drive vehicle? I can't imagine you could see underneath the car, at least not enough to see that it's a RWD. And when did you see this vehicle? That story is like 2 years old.

There are stock 300M's that came with Dual Exhaust, known as the 300M Special. Maybe you saw one of these?

It is an old story, (2002-06-03), but it's be interesting none the less to see how they put RWD under it.

Read the article closer, all they did was put a 300M body onto the 300C chassis for testing purposes

As the picture shows the body didn't even line up and looked like a 300M that had been in a slight accident

Just an early test buck (mule). Body work likely wasn't available at that time so to be 'inconspicuous', they drop on an existing shell. You wouldn't want one, they're not built to last any more than the test window.

Mule

I was stuck in traffic behind this thing. Yes you sould see it was rear wheel drive since of the big clearance of the body and read axels. I wished I took a picture but Ill try to find one from the web. Yes I know the story is about 2 years old. Yes I know tha 300M special has dual exhaust. Yes..Yes I know all of this. But this car was rear wheel drive. I know cars enought to be able to tell what is.

Slight accident? Looked like it had been demolished by a bus, and put back together by some 12 year olds.

Exactly.....this was before the 300/magnum came out. If you saw that one in the street, either you were or it was a really bad 300M Special......That article is 3 years old and we all know what models came out of that......Anyways, until we see some real pictures, I'll have to raise the flag too.
