Lightbulb Flowmaster Exhaust

I am looking to get a new Exhaust system installed on my Trep. I have heard Flowmasters are good. What do you all recommend? No fart cans or bumble bees. Just looking for some good growl to go with my new K&N Intake.

2000 ES 3.2L V6

Any suggestions are appreciated!

Thanks!

bumble bees haha thats awsome lol

my suggestion is going with a flowmaster 80 and throwing 2 3" tips on the end basic and with the 80 serious deep ass hell i would recomend taking all resonators off, and going straight pipes to the flowmaster, i know theres a site that makes exhusat kits for are cars ill search for it and hopfully find it before someone else postes it

Thanks Vegas Trep 00

Rock on! Thanks for the link, I appreciate it. I have been looking for awhile now with little result. This is exactly what I am looking for. And the cost is far less than expected. This should get me on the right track.

As for the "Bumble Bees", that was what first came to mind when I heard those loud mufflers flying down the street. LOL.

I love my 40 series original. Great deep sound, and only $50 on ebay...

Hey giantjd24. What part of NE are you in. I'll be driving threw the West side of the state in 2 weeks. I could stop by and let you hear what the 80 series sounds like with just the rear resonator removed.

I personally have straight pipes with silver bullet resonators and DNA Specialty Mufflers (check the sig page). Totally custom and not too cheap, but sounds sweet as hell.

Flowmaster 80 In-Car Sound

Ok, I am very interested in getting the 80 series installed after reading through the reviews! I do have one important question though. My Fiancee and I do alot of road trips. With the 80 installed, how loud will this be inside the car? I can handle some loudness, but not sure she can!

Thanks everyone!

James

Personnaly for me it's not too bad. But I have my sound system so I don't notice any real "hum" while on the Highways. But, you'll hear the exhaust when your gaining speed.

I have a 3.2, 2001 and I have the 80 series on mine and it's only really loud at 2,500rpm. Even then its not too loud just a continuous drone, it can get annoying, so I just turn up the stereo, lol.

Smile Getting FM Super 40 Exhaust

Well, I went to a customs shop that a friend owns and rock on! I am getting hooked up with the Flowmaster Super 40. Right around $200 installed. Only thing now is, I asked if I could go dual and I guess the dang spare tire is in the way. Somehow (I have not yet looked) the spare tire area of the trunk bulges out of the bottom of the car. Was told this was normal and dual exhaust would not work because a second pipe could not be routed around it. I hope I am making sense.

Anyway, I am going with the Super 40. I heard a 6 Cyl Grand Am on Super 40's and that thing is muscle car loud! I love it! Anyone else here have the same problem with the spare tire in the way?

Thanks,

James
