300m Seat Airbag Question

Hello All, I am new to the posting but have been reading all your posts for the last year or so. Tonight I would definitly appreciate your help.
I have a 2001 Intrepid R/T that has dual power leather seats with the airbag on the side. However I want to put in the heated seats from a 300m. I already have them and they are in mid-install. These seat do not have the side airbags. So now when I unplug the old ones I will have an airbag light on in the car. Does anyone know how to turn off the light. I would asume the rest of the airbags will work properly.
Also, I read that to make the heat work all that is need are two wires??? What is the radio memory control I hear?
Thanks for your help!

You may not be able to easily have the air bag light off, since it is a preprogrammed function of the airbag/BCM system
The heat function is a little more than just hooking up the two wires, for it to operate, you really need to instal the entire wiring between the two seats, otherwise the temp control will not operate, there are threads with Q&A about this here.
The radio memory can be linked to the seat's memory, so that each of the two seat memory positions will havev its own set of 10 presets. When the remote key fob or the seat memory position (1 or 2) is pressed, the seat will change to that desired setting, as will the radio presets and the last used station in it. Pressing the other setting will change everything to the second settings. Outside memory mirrors will also change if so equipt.

Thanks, If I take all the wires from the passenger side to the drivers, will that do the trick??

As far as the airbag light, would you recomend taking out the light or switching the module to one that is programmed without seat airbags?

You need to connect all the wires from side to side to ensure that the seat heating will work. Easiest way is to get the parts from a donor harness and strip out the seat portion. It is easy. You just ignore the mirror wiring, unless you have 300 memory mirrors.

The ABS module replacement may work, but I think I'd be sure to get the same year part for sure. You might check with a dealer to see if it can be reprogrammed to delete the side air bag, I've heard that is possible, but wouldn't count on it though.

How about removing the side airbag assembly and reinstalling it (definitely some fabrication req.) in the 300M seats. Post a pic of the airbag if U can !

I thought about that for about 2 seconds. I just don't have time to mess around with that kind of customization right now.

How about taking out just the circuitry and plug it in again to fool the BCM ??

My question is does the seatback from the Intrepid match the lower portion of the heated 300M seats? if so why not switch the side bag seatbacks with the Intrepid seat to the 300M heated lower portion? And hook up accordingly. I havent had any experience with 2g seats so pardon the inexperience if that doesnt work and or doesnt match.

You will get a light.

You should really replace them with 300m seats with airbags. The airbags are the same style and such so it shouldn't matter which airbags you have in which seats.

Originally it would have been nice to get seats with the airbags. But I bought them a year ago for the 96 but since bought the 01.

Yeah these seats don't have the airbags in them and I am trying to put them in a car that originally did have them. So thats why the light.

I got the heat to work last night. I've been fighting to get things done at night. After work I usually only have 1-2 hours of light.

How does anyone feel about the RB1 Nav system? Is it worth the money. If I get one I'm thinking about taking it to a stereo shop to put subwoofer outputs on it. Anyone done that? What did it cost?
