Fog light's ? Sliverstar's

I installed Sliverstars headlight lowbeam bulbs. Now on the fog light ones. At Walley World (WalMart). It said H-3 ST's. The only problem is the wire is flat side where it plugs in on the Sliverstar. And OEM one is round. So i cut the OEM one and spliced it. Onto the new Sliverstar. It worked fine lights right up. Anybody think this will cause any problems in the future???

I don't think there will be any issues if you done the wire splice correctly. Shoot, before I bought new fog light housings, I actually pushed the spade connector on the bulbs into the round connector on the housings. I didn't have any issues with that. I can't imagine having any issues when done correctly.

I did do the splice correctly on my new ones.

Thanks Warlord. I didn't think there would be a problem. But you never know.

For anyone reading this - another choice is to make an adapter patch cord. Mine are about an inch long with a male bullet connector on one end and a female spade on the other. That way I don't need to cut either the stock wiring or the bulb's wiring. I probably still have a picture of it in my gallery

guys, don't go through all that trouble. take a pair of large pliars and 'crimp', 'bend', 'squeeze' the flat connector until its roughly triangular. It fits perfectly into the round OEM connector. Takes all of 30 seconds.

It took me 30 seconds to cut off the OEM round connector and crimp on a spade connector.

I had a bit of stuff left over from when I installed my car audio system. I figured they may come in handy some day.
