I was reading one of the supercharging threads yesterday and saw a comment made towards the end that power demon doesn't make a tranny for us anymore
https://www.dodgeintrepid.net/forums/...&page=12&pp=15

Maybe they still makes parts or something.

Phantom Grip makes a limited slip differential for us supposedly

Question Shift Kits

When I had a Taurus, everyone had a shift kit installed to:
1. Save a poorly designed tranny from turning into scrap metal
2. Improve performance
and we also added the tranny cooler.

I'm new to Intrepids, so is this also necessary/recommended for Intrepids?

Theres no "making a transmission" about. They build it and theres nothing stopping them from building them.

Same for the automatic 3/S cars. A shift kit fixed a lot of small issues I had with my trans, as well as decreasing the time between shifts. It comes on hard and fast now.

Would a shift kit be good for keeping it smooth? Do you mean it will change harder than it does now?
Also, You are saying it WOULD be a good, or great, idea to install an aftermarket trans cooler ?

ThanX

Got a reply back from Bob Vining at PD

******
All is well here, we do still offer the 42LE transaxle, and now in 2 stages
with quite a few more updates than what was available before. Just haven't
published all the new info for 2006 yet.
