Thumbs down Installing after market radio

Hello! I am new to the forum. In a week or two I am going to get a 2000-2001 Dodge Intrepid and I have the stock radio in it. I am looking to change the radio, and I have one already picked out. (Pioneer DEH-150MP) Now, my question is what extra stuff do I need to get, because I plan on putting it in myself because it seems easy and I don't need to pay someone else to do it. I read around and it said I needed a wiring harness (?) or an installation kit. I don't quite know what model it is. I'm guessing it is the standard model. I also read about an infinity system, which I also do not know if it has. If someone could message me for personal help or comment any questions that I may know the answer to to have someone help me, then I would appreciate it! I am a fast learner so I hope to not give many issues. Thank you very much!!

both, and should be a painless install. one adapts the radio to the opening/fastener pattern, and one will connect up the correct wires to make everything work fine.

Okay, thank you! So that leads me to my next question. What wiring harness and installation kit would you recommend me getting?

Search for them on Ebay, you want the one with two 7 pin connectors, and a single DIN Adapter

like this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chrysler-Dod...b2b1dc&vxp=mtr

and this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Radio-St...b12822&vxp=mtr

shop around, I grabbed the 1st examples I found for illustration purposes.
