Tips for exhaust

car is a 2001 intrepid V6 2.7.

ive been in the market to make my exhaust sound sweet. im leaning towards a flowmaster muffler: (hushpower 2). but i wouldnt mind going further and getting more done. im just wondering if anyone has any suggestions or experiances and could give me some helpful advice. ~thanks

what do you mean when you say "but i wouldnt mind going further and getting more done" ? as for the muffler, the hushpower 2 is a pretty good chioce. the only thing with that is i would consider either the 50 or 60 delta series if you do a lot of highway driving. the you can hear the hushpower on the inside, and on the highway, a constant hum could get quite annoying

there is a dual exhaust kit that Trubendz manufacters, but that is going to run you around 400 bucks...if you just want it plain loud, you can bypass the muffler and resonater using strait pipes with a tip on the end. however i do not recommend that becasue it is most likely illegal b/c of the noise and you would probably not pass e check

exactly lol, my freinds said get straight pipes but i still want to pass emmissions. so what do you think, go for the Trubendz kit, or just get a Flowmaster muffler with tips.

I love my dual 4" stainless steel Magnaflow tips, angle cut, rolled edge. They'd be better if they were about 8" long or so though.

well considering i personally didn't do it, i couldn't tell you. the shop i went to is a well known local shop. the mufflers are located towards the end of the car (I had to get pretty short tips). it is very snug back there. i'm sure shops could do it.

alright sounds good, i think i might just look into getting those. the shop by me only carrys flowmaster exhaust. i guess ill just choose between the 40's or the hushpower since i dont do much highway driving. im thinking dual would be cool, it would look pretty sweet. thanks for all your help and input guys!! if you haven't seen my car, check out my car domain page. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2484213
