Projected cost of mods?

Before I came here I had set up a pretty good idea of what I wanted my trep to be when it was reborn...I made a page on my site listing those and approx. costs, you can find that.....
Here
Now that I've been around here a bit, my want list has grown a bit and I'll need approx. prices shipped and any install costs...Here goes...

That fancy overhead thingy...EVIC methinks....
300M 150mph Gauges
Autostick conversion or new tranny for the 2.7
Auto Temp Control
Auto Headlight control
300M dash and doors?.....Maybe depends on cost
Wood wheel and shifter to match theoretical 300 dash
OEM floor mats the the hole in em for the hook on the floor
300M special dual exaust...also, depeds on cost
EDIT: Throw in those 300M Special signal mirrors...just because

This may grow later.....Depending on my financial status. Also I'll be taking suggestions for a virgin canvas of customization, .

Thnx and cheers,

~Brandon

Auto temp control is a little more complicated because you have to take the whole dashboard off and replace all of the wiring. Itll cost you just under $200 but not many people want to take apart their dash to do this mod.

auto headlight switch also needs a sunsensor which in fact you will also need for the auto temp control. Will cost you around $40 or so. Easy swap and play mod but worth it.

My 300m dash and doors cost me around $300 for all of them but you need to look around big time cause some places will charge you $300 just for the dash. Also rear doors need to be modified to fit.

Wood wheel is expensive and there is no wood shifter for our cars, unless you make your own.

300M special turn signal mirrors are expensive but well worth it. Mine cost me just under $500 and wiring them in was a whole other story. I actually had to take my doors of to wire them in but doing this mod 2 times on 2 seperate cars gave me ideas as to how to make your work shorter.

A great and easy mod to do is the 300M special rear sway bar because itll cost you just under $40 for both the bar and bushing and then give it a hour of work and your handling and cornering is much improved! Good luck with the modding.

Those quotes are all pretty much right on the money.

As for the Auto Temp Control, it IS a PIA, but I did it for a member over the summer and it didn't go too bad, but we ended up running out of daylight. The thing that took the most time was swapping over his aftermarket alarm system, it got pretty confusing, if you don't have anything aftermarket installed under there then it shouldn't really be that bad.

As for the EVIC, I have them starting at $75 and going up from there depending on whether or not you want any of the "rare" options.

I am in the process of selling 2 sets of Special mirrors right now, each set is going for about $400.

The floor mats,...I dunno,...I have never sold a set before, nobody ever asked.

As for the rest of your mods, check my F/S thread, I have a lot of that stuff listed, you can check out prices. There is a link in my signature below.

A lot of this stuff is easy installs, some is going to be pretty hard, but hey, we're a family here, just ask for help and we'll be here.

Save yourself the trouble and find a 300M special. Just a thought.

It would be easier to put an intrepid front end on a 300 m than convert an intrepid to a 300 inside wouldnt it?

Buy one that needs a front end, there are lots of intrepids with blown 2,7s that would donate a front end cheap!

Be the first !

Better yet a Concord front end on a 300m !

Confusing people who think they know what they are looking at is always fun!

Try explaining how hard it was to put the 300m rear clip on your concord!
