Carbon Fiber Switch Panel

Never really used that storage pocket for much, so thought i would get rid of it. Switches are in a much better place now and i have room for anything else i might need to add. Gotta love finding CF at work!

How did you mount that? Glue? Bracing? Does it conform to the slight curve?

I would have to assume that he drilled holes to line up the exsisting screws for the cubby...thats my thought. Looks good too.

While not a fan of CF, it looks good. I like the location too (I have a 6 DVD changer there) My switches are located a little lower.
As for the plate I used 1/8" lexan heated it to 180F and you can form it to the curved opening. Drill the mounting holes to match and either ABS cement, epoxy, or even silicon will work. (the first two are faster and stronger to use). then cover or paint.

1) used stock holes and screws to mount it. Drilled the holes a little closer together and that forced the piece to bend and conform to the curve.
2) no leather shift knob. I was watching a Viper shift knob on
Ebay that was CF too, but the guy wanted too much $$ for it.
Would love to have one if there are any extras floating about the site.

I was thinking about the mounting holes but wasn't sure you could use that and get the curver. I guess you can. Thanks.

Just out of curiosity, how would you be able to use a viper shifter in the trep? You have a stick shifter replacing an automatic shifter with a lever.

That's where my mechanic would come in. Would have to find some way to deactivate the detent, maybe with a button/switch mounted in the new CF panel. He's a smart guy, betting he can figure something out.
