Well I have the 80 so I am going to have to go with that one. Love the sounds and the duel tips.

If you want duals go with the 80. If you want a single go with the 40. Unless you want to go true duals which means you would need two mufflers than go with 40. They are supposed to sound almost identical.

Agree 100%. I wanted non-true duals, and I instantly went with the 80.

yeah thats the problem. lol i wanted the 2 40 mufflers but ive been listening to sound clips of the 80 and it sounds like a sweet muscle car, which is pretty much what i want. if the two 40s sounds the same as the 80, the i might just go with the true duals, the 40s. ...then again everyone in the poll likes the 80....... any other opinions? i appreciate them

Go 40!

I voted for the 40. I love my single outlet 40 Series Original, and had the complete setup done for $135.

I used to have a 40 series. I have a thread around here somewhere with a couple of sound file in it. I now have a Flo-Pro VForce muffler. I like the VForce better, but I also liked the 40 series.

I perfer the 40 myself. I have some what of a dual setup. Since the muffler is dual outlet I have two pipes coming out of it for each side. Also the pipes are tucked in so people can see them. After all my car is a sleeper.

Just check out my thread on the sound clip I posted.

If you want to stay quite then just get the resonators hacked off but keep the OEM muffler.

I voted the 80 because unless you really care about having true duals there is no reason to spend the money on a 40

I LOVE my 80, the only thing I dont love is now i gotta go through the interior and start sticking sticky backed felt in places where the deep, low growl of the 80 has created little rattles... but that is the nature of the beast, its something i was willing to accept to have my family sedan sound like a V8...

I'd go with the 80!

True duals are nice in theory. But it costs a LOT more and it may actually decrease performance.

You might get a couple extra HP with true duals, but the power band will be shifted up more into the higher RPMs. That would hurt your launches.
