Ken Belle ECU's....

Has anyone installed one of these on a 98-01 LH? I heard its only possible on 02-04 LH models because the trans ecu is separate on 98-01.

I will be rebuilding my ecu soon because of an intermittent memory code (mainboard fault). If Ken Belle ecus are worth it, I would like to have them rebuild mine.

Has anyone with a converted car (2.7-3.2/5) had this done? I am running my original 2.7 ecu. I usually deal with ecudirect.com, and they have no problem doing an ecu for a converted vehicle.

Has anyone that has this done noticed better performance? Do you have to run 91-94 octane gas like it says on their website?

Thanks for the info.

98-01 are the ONLY ones that Kenny Belle does right now, it's the 02-04's that they don't do.

What they said^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

If you are having problems with your ECU, don't think Kenne Bell will fix it. I would get it fixed by a place that specializes in ECU repairs or just get a new one. Kenne Bell doesn't have the best customer service. They just do a program flash and send it back. Don't expect much more than that.
Now, If you have a good 98-01 ECU and want to a performance tune, KB is the place to go. I know they only claim 10HP at the wheels, but the shortened shift points make a BIG difference and no speed limiter is a plus!
If B&G starts to offer a more agressive tune with firmer shift points, they would be the primary choice for tuning.

Thanks for the info. I was under the impression that he rebuilds them, not just reflashes them. The cost to have ECU Direct rebuild mine is $280, so I figured just get a Ken Bell ECU for $350-- but since he just flashes them, nuts to that.
