After market Headlines

Hi everyone

What you guys do you think about after market headlights? they seem to be less expensive than OEM parts...found this set on ebay but would like to get some reactions before buying it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/98-99...68052082QQrdZ1

so do ou think it's better to buy OEM headlights even if they re used instead of buying after market new headlights? The fact is that I want to install Hid's on my car but my headlines are in bad conditions, so I m afraid of glare that's why I want to change them for better.

I have "aftermarket" headlights on mine. (also known as "jobber") One has been on the car before I bought it (over 3 1/2 years ago) and one had to be changed in the spring of 2005. So far, so good, as they say.....

When you say HID's do you mean actual HIDS such as mine

Or rebased HID bulbs which no matter what will throw glare. there are guys here that have HID kits and say the glare isnt that bad i personally can not say as i never drove a car with a HID kit tho i can speak of driving in front of cars with them and they are blinding. I would heed the suggestions here by the member and try to clean them first which you can find a how to here https://www.dodgeintrepid.net/forums/...ad.php?t=63929

and if your not happy buy news ones goosd luck

I'll tell ya, I was very hesitant to try wet sanding on mine. Figured they'd end up scratched. But I used 1500 grit and 2000 grit and a final buff with PlastX from Meguiar's and mine are nice and clear. Even waxed over them for protection.

Trick is to make sure to keep it wet and not scrub too hard in one area.
