You can get new faces from speedhut, if they're still selling them. They're on ebay as well. It woudl be hard to mount those needle lights and I don't see much point because our needles are orange and they won't change the color that mcuh. Yes you can mod a universal gauge pod to fit the pillar, but it isn't easy.

IIRC the numbers are actually blue w/a yellow bulb behind them (= green). I don't know about making them white but blue is easy ...

To make the numbers white you would also have to make the faces something other than white, which is no easy feat.

is there a way to scrape off the blue to make them clear? so then all I have to do is add white leds so make the numbers appear white. or maybe there is are guages out there with clear numbers already...

Yeah, you can scrape off the blue, but you won't get it perfectly clear and it's a hell of a lot of work Then you'll have daytime visibility problems too.

so the letters are actually blue. so that should mean of I swap out the bulbs behind the gauges with white led bulbs, they should glow blue then right?

Yup. The entire front of the cluster is a clear piece of plastic and has the circles stamped in where the gauges go. The outer portion is painted black on the front and different color on the back depending on what color the idiot light is supposed to be. The faces themselves are painted white on the front and then blue on the back except for the redline, hot, and low fuel which are red, and the odometer/gear indicator cutouts which have a smoke tint.
