A company by the name of PowerDemon used to do performance rebuilds of these transmissions. Not sure if they still do. Don had one in his dragged 300M.

You don't get "dusted by mustangs" because of the speed limiter. It's because they're quicker and faster.
The limiter has nothing to do with acceleration, so if they're walking away from you, don't blame the limiter.
Your second sentence makes no sense at all..........
Also, there's no way you're ever going to get any real acceleration out of an 2.7 Intrepid on 20 inch "Dubs". Car's too heavy, rims are too big, engine too small. Stick to "rollin on Dubs" or whatever they call it now. If you want speed, drop back down to 16 or 17 inches rims and start working on some real performance improvements like a 3.5 swap (not just a home depot cold air intake). The car is never going to be really fast though, get a faster car to start with if that's what you really want.
