Damplifier Install (ode to Dodgaholic)

Ripped out the back seat, and trunk to put in damplifier today, the trunk lid was done yesterday. I used 32 sq for the trunk. Also used ~ 30 sq of closed cell foam (also from Second Skin) on top of the damplifier. (the black stuff)
See https://www.dodgeintrepid.net/forums/...ad.php?t=77620 for much better pics.

The doors get done tommorrow. Took it for a drive when I got it done and to be honest.... it sounds like a morgue in the back.

Anyone know what this thing is??? Just curious.... looks sorta like a dryer vent.

Dunno what that is, but I had one in my GP too. I took it out because it was the only thing in the trunk that was rattling with each bass hit, lol. Looks like you did an excellent just Dudly, keep up the good work! What ya puttin' back there?

Oh yeah, kinda forgot. Got 2 12" JL subs with a JL audio 250.1 mono amp. Soon to be followed by a Phoenix Gold 800 W 4 channel. For the front components.

Awesome! You have certainly been keeping busy! Is the wife threatening to leave yet?
Evidently not, since you have her helping install spoilers, and taking photos!

Wait til you get the doors done, if you think it's quiet now. Just watch the veins on the back of your hands, and wrists, when you do the backs!!! I cut myself in some places that could have been very bad, if deeper.

Thanks for posting these pix, and for the homage!

the black thing in the trunk is the vent to keep moisture out of the vehicle. it should have some rubber flaps that when you have all the windows up and the heater on high that should let air flow threw out the vehicle to keep condensation and moisture out of the trunk

Yeah, Steve! Quit being such a cheap-o!
I guess I should get mine ordered too! It won't be that long til I'll be facing those furnace like conditions I had last summer.

lol. I figure now is a good time to do the trunk and I can do the doors when I get my new door panels. I have to save some money for the amp I still need to buy though. This project is already over budget. It wouldn't be that bad if I didn't buy new tools every time I start a project! How much did you say I'd need for the trunk and doors?
