Drake's shameless sig page (56k killer)

This is my 2001 Dodge Intrepid ES 3.2L, stock. It was my dad's old fleet car that we bought after the lease was up. He racked up a lot of miles on it, and I've got quite a few on it myself, 175k total, mostly highway. Mechanically the only big issues it's had were radiator and water pump, the engine is fine.

As you can see right now she has a broken cheek :(

Her good side

Under the hood! It's kinda dusty in there.

After 175k I'm kind of afraid to clean it, it might fall apart.

Lights Turn ON!! They are kinda foggy from 7 years of continuous operation. I polished them once before but they have gotten frosted over again and this time the polishes arent working, looks like I'll need to sand them.

Back still looks good

Alloy Wheels, Rusty rotors...

The inside

Underneath

Odometer

Yeah yeah, it's dirty and battered but I plan to begin fixing her up a bit, every project needs a starting point.

EDIT: Some slightly more interesting pics

Took these out on a nice nearly abandoned stretch of road, nobody for miles. Was still quick about it though.

And two by the fence near one of the Saberliners.

175,000 miles and looking like this? Congratulations... very nice.... now you need to clean the engine, install an OTIS and auto-dim mirror, and clean the headlights with the foil bag stuff from Walmart (20 bucks and does a marvelous job.. check my thread Headlight Cleaner in the Show & Shine forum... GREAT stuff..). And after that, we have a few more mods for you..

But..again... good looking car... Congratulations...

PS: your sig: local FBO as in Fixed Base Ops? do you fly?

Thanks, not sure how much respectable modding I can do to it right now but I'm sure there are some neat small things I can do like the mirror and such. And I'll check out the foil bag stuff.

And yes I fly. In school for it actually. (which is why major mods are hard) I'm kind of a useless pilot at the moment though, Private VFR Single Engine Land. Working on instrument.

Nice thread, trep needs some TLC even if she has 175,000 + miles.

Yeah, need to get the book for the car, hit the salvage yard, ebay, and spend a few weekends covered in grime. That should hopefully get some of the small mods and the major exterior stuff out of the way. I'm thinking about mounting an antenna or three in the back for CBs and whatnot, maybe even an aviation FM transceiver.

Anyway posted a few more interesting pictures above.

Car looks great!!! If interested I would look into a 300M gauge I think they look sweet. Also its up to you but I would get some new headlights off of ebay I dont really think the polish/sanding really helps IMO.

Yeah, thats actually one of the mods I wanted to do. Not sure which set to go with though. The 300M instruments are pretty cool but the black and chrome Concorde ones are cool too. I'll have to see what I can salvage. As for the polishing vs new, depends on the prices I can get. If I can get decent ones for a good price I might but I'm more likely to just sit there and wet sand for a couple hours.
