Thanks Rombo and Tgs for the replies.
Rombo, Im sending the photos you requested. My car is light grey. Looks pretty cheap and faded. Also the dash has a nasty crack on it where the airbag deploys.

Is that color like a light tan? or it is just the photo. Because that is a gorgeous dash. And if you have matching doors that would be even better. The problem is that I was able to get according to the dodge dealer in my town, the last grey carpet for my car in the inventory. It is still in the original plastic bag. I think I already sent pictures of it. Also I already posted a photo of the dash with a crack.

The only problem that I see is (correct me if Im wrong) that the dash for the 300 has the lower center console attachments. My intrepid does not have a center console. I have seats that are together. That would be a problem since the lower portion of the dash were the radio goes might not work on mine. Do you also have the center plastic parts that go between the doors?

I was looking on eBay for Concorde electric seats to replace mine. My electric motor is about to die and the passenger seat is manual. When I removed the seats, I found that the passenger side also has the electrical connector available for an electric seat.

Thanks guys for all the help.

Leo

The electric seats have 3 (or is it 4?) motors for different motions. There are screws that hold the worm drive tubes (look like pipes coming out of the motors) clamped in the end of the motor housing. Those screws can loosen, which allows the housing halves to start spreading apart, so the worm drive shafts don't properly engage with the motor worm, and they bind up under load (the weight of your body). You might find that tightening all those screws will make it start working again without binding up the motors (wouldn't hurt to work a little lithium grease into the worms before tightening). But it may be less trouble to replace the complete base of the seat with one with the screws still tight.

If when you replace the seat bases, get the same year ones. They changed the design electrically at some point and they aren't electrically interchangeable, and I don't remember which year. That information may have been posted.

Hello Peva
I agree with you Im trying to get a much nicer set of electric seats for the Intrepid, looking for a nice set of Concorde electric chairs. The ones that does not have a center console. I found a good shop that can redo them in nice dark grey leather.

See post no. 20438 here: https://www.dodgeintrepid.net/25-what...ml#post3785545

Unfortunately, one of the pictures is from someone's photobucket account, and they no longer allow external linking. There's also another thread linked on the subject in that post which may or may not be of much help.

Thanks Peva for the picture. You are definitively right. That is a really long post. I read like 20 pages, good info on them

LOL! That is an ongoing annual, almost endless thread with miscellaneous ramblings about everything and nothing. That's its official name here. Each year the old one is abandoned, and a new Whore thread is started for that year. I only intended for you to read that one post (no. 20438) and the 2-page thread linked in that post. Your IQ probably dropped about 10 points after reading all that.

The truth Peva is that there are some very interesting posts in between some of the day to day conversations. Like some of advice that is given on them for stuff that I want to do to my car. It is just is sooooooo loooong!!!!

I saw on of those in which a member posted a list of all the car parts with pictures. Cant seem to find them anymore. Also guys. Question, is it possible to modify an Intrepid without a center console to use a console for a 300 if you swap the dash? Then I can use 300 electric seats on the intrepid?
Maybe there is a way to install a generic plastic cup holder in place of the shifter? What do you guys think.

Well is late, just arrive home from work. Talk later guys.

The center console is physically the same for the LH bodies and you can convert your column shift to a floor shift.
There are a number of steps and pieces you need to have on hand to do it right.
For example some of the things you'll need (from memory):
Shift cable
Brake interlock cable
Floor shifter
Vent to rear
Center console support
Center console with side panels
(The side panels cover the cables and wiring; one on each side of the console)

I think the only real PIA is removing the old cable and running the new shift cable.
The column shift unbolts from the steering wheel.
The studs for the floor shifter are under the current rear seat vent (in your photo on page 2)

Nothing to drill or weld; just swapping parts and lots of time.

You'll need the center console parts from an Intrepid if you're keeping your Intrepid dash. The 300m console side panels don't mate up correctly to the Intrepid dash.

The 300M setup I'm selling includes matching Center Console pieces The only thing that isn't included is the Autostick Shifter assembly. You'd also need Taupe or Light Taupe seats from a 300m or Intrepid. I don't have those either.

Hello guys just a quick update. Did some research for junkyards in my area. Found 3 within 2.5 hrs from the house. They have several 300, Concorde from 2000-2004. There is one here in my town. But this one won't let me look at the parts before buying them. Ha no thank you. Did not go to check the cars because I am on stand by to reposition the helicopters from the base to FT Campbell Ky and Camp Shelby MS. All thanks to Irma's wind and rain. Don't thinks is going to do much up here in S Alabama. Ill keep you posted if I find anything for the dash and doors close by. Hopefully a nice Concorde with electrical seats that work.

Question. Can I replace the A/C control head on my SE with a digital one? Are the connectors compatible?

No, it's not that simple.
You'd have to swap out the dash wiring harness and make some changes to the HVAC wiring, etc...

Like Terry says.

Complete dash wiring harness change, ATC Head and the Blower Control Module. Need to pull the dash to swap the wiring harnesses and do it right with OEM parts. There were 1 or 2 people many years ago that went with a Cut/Splice Butcher wiring job but that's probably more work than swapping the dash harnesses. There's an Upper harness and a Lower one.

If you go with a 300m Dash setup you get pretty much all of that.

Just a teaser....some pics from my 2000 Intrepid R/T I bought where the original owner installed a 300m Interior. This one is Dark Slate Leather that's kind of a Hybrid. The seats are standard 300m but the dash trim is from a 300m Special with the faux carbon fiber. Dash and door panels are the same between Standard and Special 300m other than the trim pieces

I then made some big changes and went to the full two tone 300m Special interior with Dark Slate and Light Taupe.

Thanks TGS and Rombo.
It seems all is a bit complicated.

By the way Rombo, those interiors are gorgeous. When you change to the tan color what you did with the gray 300 setup. You still have them?

My car is an SE model. If I decide to change to a 300m interior, (since that looks a lot better than my plain SE) what is going to happen to all the systems that my car does not have, like trip computer, traction control, different panel cluster, center clock, all the additional things that the 300 have?
Do the car is going to work fine? Im I going to get lots of codes since my car has the 2.7 engine?

If in the future I want to install a bumper with fog lights, does the SE comes wired for them already?

It might seem easier to get a different car with all the requirements, but I know this car and its been maintained properly since I got it in 2003. The only issue was with the transmission and the dealership fixed after 3 times of doing the same problem in 2007. So far so good with the car.
Thats the reason I want to keep it. And like you told a newbie Rombo in another post, I don't want to enjoy the new car payments!!!!LoL
