Horus Sig Thread

Well here is my clunker that I hope to one day get fixed up nice but looking at these pictures and then your guys pics, it makes me depressed making me think I shouldn't even bother wasting my money.

As you can see there a lot of stuff that needs to be fixed/replaced and that it's very dirty and things are falling apart.

What do you guys think?

I'm going to take off the chrome trim because it looks ghetto

the crappy trim and smokey fogged up headlights

it's getting warped and faded, should i spray paint this?

The side, should I paint that too? I've tried polish it lasts like a day.

It's dirty, the seat cover is because it's torn up and it gets too hot on the leather

You can see the vinyl in the car is falling apart, I'd like to replace the panels as well, I tried glue but it wont hold, I need window tint to block the sun damage

My rearview mirror, probably the only cool thing about my car

The crappy nasty filthy engine that was swapped

Not sure what that is falling apart corroded looking

crappy wiring probably fraying

I guess I should scrape and paint that too.

P.S.: yeah I did move, I got thrown out into the street and I'm dirt poor and haven't found a job in 9 months

well the first thing probably would be give it a good cleaning both exterior and interior, use some good leather conditioner on the seats and a good cleaner/protectant for the dash and rest of it. Window tints Do help protect from sun damage, just dont forget there are state laws for window tints, Im not familiar with floridas but You probably wont be allowed to get your windshield tinted...

The foggy sandlights can be cleared up by wetsanding them, theres a how to on that I believe, probably take you 10minutes max and will really help both vision while driving at night and the look of the car

Ps. that engine doesnt look too bad, definitely seen worse, you can clean up the engine bay. And are you talking about the a/c compressor? Doesnt look corroded but you might wanna check that the connections are all tight, that might have been whats making a hissing noise..

Most of this stuff can be repaired fairly easily with some parts from salvage yards. If you have a pick and pull go ther and take their car apart. You will see how it comes apart and iif it breaks you learned on their car not yours. The Pillars can be painted pretty easily. All in all a nice car that can be cleaned up if given some TLC.

That's exactly what I did. It took me 2 hours to figure out how to remove a speedometer the first time, now it's a 10 minute job. They even gave me credit for pulling stuff apart for them, maybe see about getting a deal on parts. Everyone starts somewhere, take your time, ask questions and one day you'll wake up to a shining beauty in your driveway.

Don't get discouraged it just takes time to get everything fixed and modded the way you want it.
as far as what i can see the cars not in that bad of shape and just needs a little TLC.
you should have seen how bad mine was inside and out when i first got it but i just keep plugging away at her and shes starting to look and perform better with everything i do.

the seats aren't worth cleaning they are cracked. I have nothign to clean my car with i'm broke. Also, I have wet sanded and used plastic polish on the lights, it doesnt work on mine.

I'm not referring to the compressor but on the side of the plenum there that gray spot.

Do you think I should have all the wiring redone on the car?

My first name is Paul and i have applied to a bunch of places only had 3 interviews one was a temp agency, another one was a telemarketing job that pays $140 a week, that's less than what I get from unemployment and the other was walmart part time graveyard shift so no job yet

No.. it looks like the wire wrap is comeing loose and NOT the wires themselves. As long as there are no problems, leave it be. At a later date when you get the money you can replace the wire loom. Easily done and bought. It comes in different sizes.

Horus dont feel too bad man. You should have seen my car when I first got it. My mom and dad used to own it. They got divorced and my mom got the car, a month later she blew the motor in it. It was a 5 dollar transmission hose that came off, and she just kept driving it..She called my dad and asked if he wanted it and he said yes. We went out to the yard and got a 3.3 for 500 dollars and he put it in. I was only 12 at the time. They had been drinking one night and she got pissed at my dad and threw her rum and coke up on the ceiling..all over the headliner and visers. She got pissed once more, and reached into the window and pulled down on the turn signal switch and broke it off. She wrecked it about 4 times. Our basketball goal fell over on it and broke the fender and windshield. There was hail damage on the trunk. The center console was completely broke. JUST A FUGGIN WRECK. But you can ask anyone on here, and they will vouch for me when I say this, we just work our asses off and make our cars our own pride and joy, sort of immoralizing them into our own Christine's if I might. I am very proud of myself where I stand with my Trep now, but it took a very long time to get her where she is now, a very large amount of money, and just old school dedication. Good luck man, just don't give up. We have all been at the starting point, and it sucks. Just find some sort of inspiration. Mine was the guys on here, and especially PuchkinPhil, and just looking at how sweet my dad's 74 Monte is.

If you're careful, a headliner is pretty easy to swap out. I paid $15 for mine at a yard.
