Well go the visors wrapped up. Just have to paint the tan pieces black. I should have done that 1st...but I had to take advantage of the deal. The upholster had some material left over, from a seat insert job, and it was JUST enough for 2 visors. Got both done for only $35!!! ....All I had to do is cut the holes for the mirror housing and pull-outs.

Looks exactly how I pictured it!

Pillars are next... then headliner!

Yeah that part is still out. I have to paint it 1st. I have to pick up some clear resin to pour on it. I want a real hard coating...since it will be a lot of friction between the clip and that small rod. Don't want the paint chipping/peeling.

All I have to do it cut that section..and tuck it into the visor.

A little update. I started putting the pullout section back together.

All the pieces...

The pullout trim...in gloss black...

Pullout piece in matte black...

Here's why I wrapped the visors in saran wrap. So I could paint the mounting bracket.

I 1st painted the whole piece in matte black...

Then masked out the tiny arm section...so I could add clear to the mounting plate. So it will be glossy...

...I'm waiting for it to cure...

Headliner should be done sometime next week....hopefully!

Damn good job on all the work you put into it.
I may have to follow suit on the a pillars and visors that's a good look.
I already did the carpet from a 2g into a 1stGen.

Man I was behind on all this stuff Wendel.

We've talked at length about these interior mods before, and we both have pretty similar goals. I've just been spending the time right now on the audio system and the trunk, and the interior is coming after that. I'll work on the parts in the basement over winter.

I want to get a decent contact cement sprayer. I figure in my lifetime I'll use it enough to justify the expense. It would make getting a nice thin spray pattern that won't soak through the microsuede much easier.

By the way, awesome. Just how I thought it would turn out.

On the visors did he remove the factory cloth or just glue to that?

My car won't ever be done because I'm insane. That is all.

...Thanks Dan,

He actually just glued on top of the original cloth. It helps to keep the plush feeling. It's a pretty straightforward job. I'll remove all the components..even the little rod that goes into the visor clips..to hold them in place. Easier if you just crush the ones on the visor you're wrapping. Slide the metal rod out... the just use one from another visor. I'm using the ones from my trep visors. Just fold the fabric around the visor...then cut it about an i1/2" bigger. Glue it...then tuck the overlapping fabric between the seem...with a sturdy flat tool. Sorta like a dry wall putty knife.
